Holmes Wayne Electric Cooperative has awarded a total of $15,000 to local area students heading to college. Anna Puster of Triway was awarded $2,500, as was Brandon Barkman of West Holmes, who won the overall top prize in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively. Morgan McCoy of Northwestern and Joshua Shrock of West Holmes received $2,000. Katie Sprang of West Holmes and Jacob Beachy of Hiland were awarded $1,500. Audrey Cochran of Wooster was awarded $1,000, while Madison Kurtz of Wooster and Nick Muro of Triway were each awarded $500.
