The Ohio Department of Development and Community Action Wayne/Medina are teaming up to make sure that area residents stay warm and comfortable this winter. Through the end of March, income-eligible residents can receive a one-time payment applied directly to their home heating bill through the Department of Development’s Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program. Last year, the program provided roughly $19 million in aid statewide. The application can be started online, but residents will need to schedule an appointment with Community Action Wayne/Medina to complete the application. The application can be found online at energyhelp.ohio.gov.
