A homeless shelter could soon be coming to Medina County. The Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority is looking into building a ten unit building on Lafayette Road in Medina that would provide shelter to those in the county that are struggling with homelessness. Medina County Commissioners pledged to donate a .46-acre lot to the Housing Authority for the project, with the Housing Authority then purchasing another .62 acres of land to make a one-acre plot for the building. The building would also have a community space for providing services for those in the building.
