A homeless shelter in Ashland County is seeking donations in an effort to qualify for a share of a $2 million grant.  To qualify for a piece of the funding, Ashland Church Community Emergency Shelter Services, or ACCESS, needs to raise $5,000 by August 12th, through the online platform Mighty Cause.  The grant is part of Community Thrives, a grant-making and crowd-funding program from the USA Today Network.  All told, more than 750 nonprofits nationwide are vying for a portion of the grant.
