Holmes County’s soil and water conservation district is now accepting applications for its cover crop cost share incentive program. Fields will be ranked using management-based criteria and qualifying acreage will earn between $12 and $20 per acre, with participants receiving the cost share on a maximum of 200 acres. Farmers who would like more information can contact the soil and water district by phone or email. The deadline to submit an application is July 9th.
