You can thank the folks at the Wayne County Humane Society for a new ice cream flavor that is expected to be in stores sometime early next year. The humane society came up with the idea of Puppy Chow ice cream as part of Ruggles’ “Flavors for Good” contest. Ruggles says its new Puppy Chow flavor will feature Peanut Butter ice cream, waves of chocolate fudge and chocolate covered Chex cereal pieces. The packaging will include the humane society’s logo and a brief description of the nonprofit. For coming up with the idea, the humane society gets $15,000, along with a portion of first year sales.
