The Ashland County Humane Society is asking the public for donations after helping authorities to rescue nearly 50 dogs from a residence on West Main Street in Ashland Wednesday. The dogs, which ranged in age, were seized during a raid on the home Wednesday, and the majority were underweight and some had other health issues. Along with the monetary donations, the Humane Society is in need of towels and sheets to help care for the dogs, and can be dropped of at the Claremont Vet Clinic at 1826 Claremont Ave.
