In collaboration with the Special Olympics, hundreds of students from school districts all over Medina County took part this week in the county’s annual Track and Field Day. The event, which began in 2017, was held Tuesday at Cloverleaf High School. Organizers say nearly 500 special needs athletes from nine school districts participated in a variety of events, including individual races and team relays. In addition to parents, several Cloverleaf classes were also on-hand to cheer on the student athletes.
