The Indians picked up a hard fought 4-3 win over the Orioles on Monday.

The Indians, who found out that ace Shane Bieber is going to miss time with a strain in his right shoulder, put together enough pitching and hitting to send the O’s to their fifth striaght loss. JC Mejia got the start, working four innings, giving up two runs on four hits. Nick Sandlin worked an inning and two thirds and got the win, his first in the majors. Offensively, Jose Rameriez led the way with two RBI, while Bobby Bradley added in his 8th RBI of the season and Eddie Rosario had another RBI.

The Indians ace has a strained right shoulder and will not pitch for at least two weeks.

Manager Terry Francona said Bieber complained of tightness in his shoulder after pitching Sunday and underwent an MRI. The tests showed the muscle strain, and Bieber will be temporarily shut down.

The Indians placed the right-hander on the injured list and recalled reliever Kyle Nelson from Triple-A Columbus.
