The Indians survived a White Sox comeback bid t pick up the 6-5 victory Tuesday.
The Indians went into the top of the ninth leadin 6-3, but the White Sox wouldn’t go quietly, scoring two runs off James Karinchack before Karinchak got Jose Abreu to ground out to end the game. Shane Bieber worked seven innings, giving up three runs, two earned, on five hits with seven strikeouts. Austin Hedges had the big hit for the Indians, as he had a two-rn homer in the fourth to put the Indians back in the lead. Harold Rameriez also had two RBI’s.
The Indians and White Sox will finish the series on Wednesday with a 1:10 p.m. start.
