The Cleveland Indians bats were red hot on Saturday night at Progressive Field, tallying 17 hits in the 14-6 win against the Kansas City Royals. The Royals scored first with a 2-run homerun by Salvador Perez in the top of the 4th inning, but the Indians bounced back scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th from a Bobby Bradley RBI double, a pair of RBI singles from Oscar Mercado and Bradley Zimmer, and a Cesar Hernandez 3-run homerun. Indians catcher Roberto Perez also had a solo homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning, along with Oscar Mercado who had a two run homerun in the 7th and Jose Ramirez who had a solo homerun in the 8th inning. Indians starting pitcher Cal Quantrill had a solid outing, going 6 complete innings while striking out 1 batter and allowing 5 hits and 3 runs on the day. The Indians will look to complete a four game sweep of the Kansas City Royals at Progressive Field on Sunday with first pitch set for 1:10 p.m.
