The longest-serving judge in the history of Wayne County is stepping down from the bench.  After nearly five decades in law and 42 years on the bench, Judge Mark Wiest will be retiring shortly after the New Year.  At a ceremony last month, the courtroom in which Wiest has presided all these years was renamed in his honor.  Courtroom 1 at the Wayne County Courthouse will now be known as the Mark K. Wiest Courtroom.  Wayne County Municipal Judge Timothy VanSickle will replace Wiest on the Common Pleas Court, after running uncontested for his seat on the bench in the November election.
