Holmes County Commissioners have received just one bid for a bridge replacement project in Mechanic Township. The bridge is located on County Road 61, just south of County Road 19. The bid was submitted by a Millersburg company and came in nearly $20,000 under the county’s original estimated cost of $965,000. The county engineer’s office will now review the bid and advise the commissioners on whether or not to accept it. If they do, the project would begin this spring and take about four months to complete.
