Officials with the Kidron Volunteer Fire Department are hoping to build a new fire station and say they want to fund 100 percent of its construction with donations from the community. If the department is able to raise the needed funds, the new $2.5 million station would be built where the current one now sits at the corner of Kidron and Emerson roads. The department says all donations and pledges are tax-deductable and can be made at its website, kidronfire.com.
