An estimated 400 people made their way out to Wooster’s Christmas Run Park on Sunday for a Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration. The event, now in its third year, featured food, bounce houses and even a basketball tournament. The event’s organizer says the hope is to have even more food and activities next year, but that no matter how big the event gets, for it to remain free for the community and to keep the focus on simply celebrating freedom.
