More than 100 people were on hand last night for a board of trustees meeting at the Wayne County Public Library.  The large crowd was there to discuss a petition that was submitted to the library earlier this month urging it to remove all materials from the children’s section containing pictures or written details about things such as sex and sexual orientation, along with topics dealing with homosexuality and transgender rights.  Nearly 20 people spoke during the meeting’s public comment session, with some calling the materials in question pornographic.  Following the public comment session, the library’s board ended the meeting without taking any formal action.
