The Wayne County Public Library’s Board of Trustees has denied a petition that sought to have sex-related materials removed from the library’s children’s section.  The petition had been signed by roughly 100 people and at least that many were in attendance Monday to hear the board’s decision.  By rejecting the petition, the board will continue to follow the library’s existing policies, which according to the library’s director, 90 percent of the calls and emails received were overwhelmingly in support of.
