A local non-profit group that gives baskets to mourning families after the loss of a child recently gave away its 4,000th basket. Forget-Me-Not Baskets started in 2007 in Creston, and has since grown to give baskets at 26 hospitals from Cleveland to Amish Country. The baskets began as a way to help grieving families, with donations to Wooster Community Hospital and then Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, but soon grew to add Aultman Hospital in Canton. The Akron Community Foundation recently awarded the group a $2,000 grant to fund baskets for Akron area hospitals.
