Two local organizations were recently presented with checks by the Amish Country Lodging Council after a successful Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns in December. Lifecare Hospice was given a check for just over $6,500, while the Holmes County Education Foundation was given a check for just over $4,300. The money for Lifecare Hospice will provide financial aid for families with loved ones in need of hospice or palliative care. The money given to the Holmes County Education Foundation will go into a scholarship fund for regional students who are pursuing a degree in business or hospitality.
