Local Roots, the food market and café located in downtown Wooster, is a step closer to relocating to a larger space.  FoodSphere, Local Roots’ entrepreneurial center, has closed on the purchase of a building on West South Street that was formerly owned by Ride On.  Local Roots officials say renovation plans are already underway, with the hope of breaking ground in early 2024.  Nearly $400,000 in grants have been secured for the project, with an additional $200,000 donated by members of the community.  The Wayne County Community Foundation is now accepting tax-deductible donations on Local Roots’ behalf.  Contributions received this month, up to $10,000, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor.
