A two-vehicle accident on Christmas Eve claimed the life of an elderly Wooster woman.  87-year old Phyllis Workman was killed when the car she was a passenger in was struck by another vehicle that ran a stop sign.  The crash occurred Tuesday night, at around 9:30pm, in Green Township, at the intersection of Honeytown and Smithville Western roads.  According to the Highway Patrol, Workman was pronounced dead after being taken to Wooster Community Hospital.  The driver of her vehicle suffered only minor injuries, while the 25-year old who ran the stop sign was able to walk away from the crash unharmed.  The patrol says that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
