The Village of Loudonville has accepted a new fire contract with the Western Holmes Fire District.  Village officials said they were contacted by the fire district last week about restoring the contract, which the fire district had canceled just last month.  In a unanimous vote, village council renewed the one-year contract at a rate of just over $21,000.  The primary change in the adopted contract is that Holmes County residents and businesses near Loudonville will now receive fire and emergency services from the Loudonville department, rather than the fire district.
