Loudonville girls basketball coach Tyler Bates announced on Monday that he will be resigning at the end of the current school year. Bates will also be resigning as Loudonville’s Athletic Director and Dean of Students. In 11 years as the Redbirds head coach, Bates accumulated a record of 202-69 with eight consecutive Mid-Buckeye Conference Championships from 2017 to 2024. Bates’ 202 wins was an Ashland County and Loudonville High School record. The Loudonville girls basketball team made it to the State Semi-Finals for the first time since 1992 this season and won 26 games, which was also an Ashland County and Loudonville High School record.
