Medina City Council voted at their latest meeting to not give raises to the mayor and other members of council. The city’s charter review commission had approved a pay raise of 2.5% for the mayor and finance director, a 5% raise for the Council President and a 10% raise for the rest of Council. Council voted on the measure in different resolutions, with both failing to pass. Council also passed a resolution that will ask voters to change the way a finance director is named, going from an elected official to an appointed position.
