Medina County authorities still investigating cause of blaze in Lafayette Township

Authorities in Medina County still investigating the cause of a house fire in Lafayette Township on Sunday. The fire was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday at a home on Lake Road, with multiple fire departments responding to the scene of the blaze. Despite the quick response the house was a total loss, and the blaze claimed the life of the family’s three dogs. One child was hurt in the blaze and remains hospitalized with burns from the fire. The Medina County Fire Investigation Task Force continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
