Medina County Commissioners this past week approved a $4,000 grant for Harrisville Township in an effort to improve the township’s zoning code. The grant was through the Medina County Plan Grant Assistance Program, as Harrisville Township will contribute $ 2,500 to a zoning improvement project. The county’s director of planning services says that the goal is to increase the tax base, which will hopefully do things like accommodate new kinds of business to the area along with developing employment opportunities.
