The City of Medina will be opening Memorial Pool thanks to a large donation collected by the community. The city had determined in late May to keep the pool closed for the summer due to financial strains brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. A donation of $20,000 was made to get the pool open, and help keep it operational for 20 days, after that carry forward funds from the Medina Community Rec Center will be used to keep the pool open the rest of the summer. The pool is set to open, at the earliest, July 6th so that the temp can be raised to the necessary 80 degrees.
