The Wayne County Children Services Board remains committed to our mission, in partnership with the community, to protect abused and neglected children and to strengthen, preserve, and empower families in Wayne County. We remain open and serving children and families in this unprecedented time. We have modified our work in our efforts to minimize the exposure of COVID–19 for the children and families we serve, our employees and our community.
Our staff remains accessible during normal business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. We will continue to respond 24 hours a day. Our building is open. Face–to–face interaction with families and visitation for children in agency custody has been suspended through April 6th, except in emergency situations. WCCSB is working on alternative technology resources to keep parents and children connected other than face–to–face contact through skype, phone, and other available options. All volunteer and in–person trainings have been cancelled at this time.
