In Medina County, Brunswick City Schools Superintendant Michael Mayell informed school district employees that he intends to resign at the end of the school year. After retiring back in 2019, Mayell returned to the district to help with the construction of Brunswick Middle School. Mayell has worked in the district for 20 years, including 12 as Superintendent. Brunswick City Schools Board of Education President Rich Novak said the board had been notified of Mayell’s decision and the search for a replacement is ongoing.
