Minerva man killed in crash on U.S. Route 250

A two-vehicle accident last night in Wayne County’s East Union Township claimed the life of a Minerva man.  The crash occurred at around 6pm on U.S. Route 250.  According to the Highway Patrol, 36-year old Daniel Cruise was eastbound on 250 when his car went left of center and struck another vehicle head-on.  Cruise was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 26-year old driver of the other car was lifeflighted to an Akron-area hospital with undisclosed injuries.  The crash remains under investigation.
