The latest numbers out from the Ohio Department of Health show that Holmes County has the third highest occurrence rate of COVID-19 in the state, with 493 cases for every 100,000 residents.  Wayne County, meanwhile, is currently 21st among Ohio’s 88 counties, with an occurrence rate of 293 cases per 100,000 people, while Ashland County ranks 72nd on the list at 132 cases per 100,000 people.  According to Governor Mike DeWine, 83 counties now feature high incidence rates of covid-19.  Yesterday’s numbers were released on the same day that Ohio surpassed 3,000 new daily cases of the coronavirus for the very first time.
