New director needed for Wayne County’s planning department

The Wayne County Planning Department is in need of a new director.  County commissioners are currently reviewing applications for the position, which was left vacant when former planning director Trevor Hunt resigned to take the planning director’s job for the city of Barberton.  His replacement will be tasked with implementing the things outlined in the county’s latest comprehensive plan, such as putting together a strategy to designate and implement Community Reinvestment Areas and identifying properties for land bank opportunities.
