A new exhibit is opening June 1st at the Wayne County Historical Society. The exhibit is on the family of Elias and Otelia Compton, who in the early 1900s raised three sons in Wooster, at a home on College Ave, and were known as “America’s First Family of Learning”. Most notably, the Compton’s youngest son was a Nobel Prize winner who played a key role in the Manhattan Project by bringing Robert Oppenheimer on board.
