NEXUS Gas Transmission and Rover Pipeline have both recently had their bids denied by The Ohio Department of Taxation in an effort to lower their tax bills. Both NEXUS and Rover have pipelines that run across Wayne County, along with numerous counties in northern Ohio. The state claims both of the pipeline owners made their assessments too high, which caused the higher tax bills. Both companies still have time to appeal the decision, and can still ultimately take the case to the Ohio Supreme Court.
