Cleveland Browns starting center Nick Harris will likely miss the entire 2022 season after suffering a severe knee injury on Friday night.

According to Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, Harris will need season-ending surgery on his right knee, which he injured following the second Cleveland offensive play of the game in the Browns 24-13 preseason win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 23-year old was entering his third season with the Browns, who drafted him in the 5th round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In two seasons with Cleveland, Harris had played in 23 games and made two starts.

Harris was likely to be the starting center for the Browns in the upcoming season, following the team releasing veteran center J.C. Tretter to clear cap space in March.
