A recent graduate of Northwestern High School has been honored for her artwork. Allison Spencer was singled out in this year’s Congressional Art Competition, which recognizes artistic talent in each of the nation’s congressional districts. Spencer won this year’s People’s Choice Award for Ohio’s 16th Congressional District for her charcoal drawing of a Ford Mustang. Spencer’s piece, which also won two awards at this year’s Wayne County High School Exhibit, will be displayed for the next year in the office of Congressman Anthony Gonzalez.
