The Northwestern Local School District’s board of education has agreed to move forward with a series of new security measures. The safety upgrades, which will include new security cameras, a key fob system and replacing some exterior doors will reportedly cost around $180,000. $150,000 of that will be covered by a grant from the state, with the remaining money coming from the district’s maintenance and facilities fund.
