The National Weather Service has confirmed that a 105-mph tornado tore through Shreve in Wayne and Holmes counties Wednesday night.  The tornado was on the ground for about 4 minutes. The EF-1 left a path 300 feet wide and 2.24 miles long .  More precise wind speeds and the specific touchdown location and path will be confirmed in the group’s final report.  A handful of people are still without power this morning as a result of that storm but there was no report of any injuries.
