The Ohio Department of Health says that Holmes County is the lowest rated county in the state when it comes to the COVID vaccination rate at 12.4 percent. The 70 to 74 year old age group makes up the highest vaccinated group in the county at 47 percent. Holmes County has a decisive lead on Adams County, which has the next lowest vaccination rate at 20.17 percent. Delaware County leads the state with more than 47 percent of its residents vaccinated with at least one dose. Wayne County ranks 71st in vaccinations started with a rate of 27.6 percent.
