For the second time this month, the Ohio Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence of convicted serial killer Shawn Grate.  The state’s high court yesterday re-affirmed its December 10th decision that Grate did in fact receive a fair trial back in 2018. Grate’s attorney had appealed this month’s ruling, but justices on Wednesday stated that no new evidence had been presented that would have changed their minds.  Grate was tried and convicted in Ashland County of killing two women and kidnapping a third.  He was later found guilty of killing two other women in Richland County and yet another in Marion County.
