The Ohio High School Athletic Assocaition announced earlier in the week that the first ever OHSAA boys volleyball tournament will take place at Wittenberg University on May 25th and 26th.
Both boys volleyball and girls wrestling were sanctioned last January as emerging sports by the OHSAA, but boys volleyball did have two state tournaments at Pickerington College while the sport was affiliated with the Ohio High School Boys Volleyball Association.
The OHSBVA did run a state tournament every year, even dating back to 1988, with exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
