A woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Wayne County on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred just before noon at the intersection of Easton Road and Friendsville Road in Canaan Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 49-year old Brunswick woman failed to yield at a stop sign on Friendsville Road and was struck by a Smithville man who was driving a truck down Easton Road. The Brunswick woman was killed in the crash, while the Smithville man was treated with minor injuries.
The Highway Patrol stated that both drivers were wearing seatbelts and that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
