Orrville City Council members are considering a modified version of an ordinance concerning the raising of livestock within city limits.  Council heard the first reading of the proposal at its meeting on Monday night.  Under the modified ordinance, Orrville residents would be allowed to raise a maximum of six chickens or six rabbits on their property.  Council members reintroduced the measure after reviewing similar ordinances in other cities.  Council will hold a public hearing on the matter and have the second reading of the ordinance at its next meeting in two weeks.
