The city of Orrville has launched a new employment program to increase the number of staff members on its fire department. The idea for the program came about because the city has experienced a large increase in the number of EMS calls over the past several years. The city says the three-phase program, which started earlier this month, has already resulted in significantly shorter EMS call response times.
