The City of Orrville is hoping to receive a federal grant that would help pay for renovations to one of its fire stations.  City officials say that since the fire department implemented a new hiring program, Fire Station 2 has been identified as the best option to renovate and operate 24/7.  Those renovations would include living quarters for the firefighters working overnight hours.  After talking with representatives from Congressman Max Miller’s office, Orrville’s safety-service director told city council members this week that while it is not guaranteed, federal funding for the project is out there if council members choose to pursue it.
