The owner of Wooster’s Matsos Family Restaurant has died. Spiro Matsos passed away Saturday at the age of 82, following a brief battle with cancer. Spiro and his late wife Pamela moved to Wooster in 1980 and opened their Liberty Street restaurant, which he would manage for nearly 43 years. Matsos was also a longtime performer with the Ohio Light Opera. .
