A Parma man could be facing serious charges in Ashland County after leading Highway Patrol officers on a high speed chase that ended in Richland County Sunday. According to the Ashland Post of the Highway Patrol, 54 year-old Scott Gracie led troopers on a high speed pursuit that ended in a fiery crash in Richland County Late Sunday afternoon. Troopers responded to calls of a white pickup truck driving erratically on Interstate 71 shortly before 5:30 p.m. When troopers located the vehicle the pursuit began. The pursuit ended in Richland County after spike strips were deployed, eventually causing the truck to crash and burst into flames. Troopers rescued Gracie from the vehicle and he was transported to a local hospital. The incident remains under investigation, no charges have been filed.
