Plans are underway for a multi-year celebration of Holmes County’s bicentennial. The celebration will reportedly incorporate all villages and towns in the county, using the existing dates of festivals and other events to be part of the bicentennial festivities. The celebration will take place this year and next because there is apparently some debate about when the county was actually founded, 1824 or 1825.
