Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez received his fourth Silver Slugger award on Thursday night, tying Albert Belle for most all-time in franchise history.
Ramirez finished the season Top-10 in most major offensive statistics at Wins Above Replacement, Slugging percentage, hits, doubles, triples and runs-batted-in. Ramirez was voted to his fourth All-Star game this season and ended the year with 168 hits, a league-leading 44 doubles, 29 homeruns and 126 runs-batted-in.
However, Ramirez missed out on a Top-3 American League MVP nomination behind New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, Los Angeles Angles pitcher Shohei Ohtani and Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez.
Guardians second baseman Andres Gimenez was also a nominee for the Silver Slugger award for his position, but Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve won for the position instead.
