Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline had a record setting day, with 10 trades being made on the day to break a league record.
Some of the highlighted trades on the deadline day included:
– The Detroit Lions traded tight end T.J. Hockenson to the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions will receive a 2023 second-round pick and a 2024 third-round pick, while the Vikings will get a 2023 fourth-round selection and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick along with Hockenson.
– The Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a second-round draft pick.
The Denver Broncos traded outside linebacker Bradley Chubb to the Miami Dolphins for a package that includes the 2023 first-round pick that Miami acquired from the San Francisco 49ers last year. The Dolphins are also sending running back Chase Edmonds and a 2024 fourth-round pick to Denver for a 2025 fifth-round selection along with Chubb.
– The Atlanta Falcons traded suspended wide receiver Calvin Ridley to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick and a conditional fourth-round selection. The conditional fourth-rounder becomes a third-rounder if Ridley reaches certain incentives or becomes a second-rounder if the Jaguars sign Ridley to a contract extension. Ridley is suspended for at least the 2022 season after gambling on games last year.
